Three site content program for Wow & Flutterville Play Gardens

The yard at one of the schools, children on the play structure from behind

Three schools, one crew. Northeast on N Vancouver, Southeast on SE 17th, Northwest in Cedar Mill. Frame from the October shoot day.

Wow & Flutterville runs three Reggio Emilia and Waldorf inspired schools in Portland, each with its own director, yard and parent community. Their content came from a national childcare marketing agency and the owner's complaint was simple: it was generic, and none of it felt like Portland.

Problem

One annual refresh shot by subcontracted crews fed a year of templated social scripts, and the site read as the agency's template with the school's name dropped in. The school with the weakest reviews was the one featured, and the showpiece school had no film of its own.

Solution

We built the year around two shoot days our own crew runs, late spring and fall, timed to the yards in use and the seasons parents recognize. Each school gets a location film, the showpiece school carries the homepage film, and parents and directors sit for testimonials on their own grounds. Posting moves to a managed social line so the calendar runs without the owner in the loop.

What the program includes

  • Three location films, sixty to ninety seconds, with a vertical recut of each.
  • One homepage film, two to three minutes, built from both shoot days.
  • A first tour film with a fifteen second tag per school.
  • Four long testimonials with shorts, two parents and two directors.
  • Thirty six captioned vertical clips a year, delivered in quarterly batches.
  • A stills gallery per school and two enrollment PDFs for tours.

Result

3schools, each with its own film
36vertical clips a year
2shoot days our crew runs
  • Every piece of content is shot in the schools' own yards and rooms, by one crew, with the owner's media releases on file.
  • Posting, community replies and a one page monthly report run as a managed line on top of the retainer.
  • Google listings for all three schools cleaned up so categories, hours and photos match.
